We are a substantial hazelnut producer located near the base of Mt Buffalo in the beautiful Buckland Valley in north east Victoria, established over two decades ago. Since 2009 Mt Buffalo Hazelnuts has been proudly owned and operated by David Batt and Caroline King. Our annual harvest is generally about 8 tonnes, principally the well regarded Oregon Barcelona variety. With its very cold winter, sheltered location and substantial annual rainfall, our orchard is ideally positioned for hazelnut growing, and over the years Mt Buffalo Hazelnuts has come to be the pre-eminent Australian brand for fresh, quality local hazelnuts.
